Montreuil-sur-Mer
_Perched
on a hilltop, Montreuil-sur-Mer is a small walled town citadel with imposing
ramparts. As an inspiration for Victor Hugo's 'Les Miserables', his
famous play is now reproduced nightly during July and August, using the
town's citadel as the backdrop to a fantastic light and sound show. The
town also hosts a flea market on July 14 (Bastille Day) each year.
